For the Needs of Implementation of Project Activities

Media and PR specialist

  1. General scope of work:

The Media and PR Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing media relations strategies, securing media coverage, and promoting positive public awareness of the project through external communications.

  1. Duties and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all public relations activities
  • Build relationships with new media contacts and maintain relationships with existing contacts
  • Issuing press releases, arranging interviews and compiling press kits;
  • Oversee the production of information materials, print and audio-visual for media, website, and other outreach activities;
  • Manage media requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Pitch story ideas and content to media
  • Ensure all communication is cohesive with the project visibility guidelines
  • Track and analyze media coverage
  • Organize, schedule, and prepare key leaders for press interviews
  • Organize press conferences and other media events
  • Performed media performance analysis
  • Other tasks related to public relations
  1. Required qualifications and experience:

  • University degree
  • Experience in public relations or corporate communications
  • Track record of media appearances;
  • Track record of experience in press-release writing and organization of media events;
  • Developed wide network of contacts with media representatives;
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and execute successful public relations campaigns
  • Previous experience in the field of tobacco control is a strong advantage.

Location of assignment: Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
