Manifesto

Preamble

Young citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, motivated by the desire to create a better future in their country, decided to work together to promote European values and develop an intercultural dialogue to encourage the cooperation of all key actors in unlocking the full potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina . Advocating for systemic solutions through the adoption of key laws for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s accession to the European Union, while simultaneously actively working to improve legislative policies in the fields of economy, education, and the environment, is the foundation for achieving these goals.

What do we stand for?

European values

Promoting European values and advocating for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, and human rights, we simultaneously advocate for the improvement of existing and the adoption of new European policies that can contribute to the recovery of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The European Union, as a mediator of knowledge for the best integration practices, represents the right path to recovery, whereby the state should achieve maximum legislative alignment with the criteria for its membership. Advocacy for the implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, adoption and implementation of key laws for EU accession (Law on Conflict of Interests of BiH, Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina), and the promotion of the aforementioned European values through a set of advocacy actions and campaigns can set Bosnia and Herzegovina on the path to prosperity and a brighter future. Bosnia and Herzegovina is part of Europe, and a stronger Bosnia and Herzegovina and the exploitation of its economic and natural potentials will also contribute to the strengthening of the European Union. The unification of Europe has never been more important for strengthening economic, social, and territorial cohesion and security.

Socio-economic development and better quality of life

Health

Health has become a political issue in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and good health management and good advocacy for health require competent institutions to continuously work on improving health policies. Those elections are often affected by a lack of political will and insufficient information among decision-makers, precisely because of structural challenges in policy development processes at all levels of government. Improving population health through advocacy for effective public health policies can contribute to recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and at the same time encourage the systemic strengthening of access and quality of health services as well as strengthening of public health policies and health literacy.

Education reform

To achieve global standards of education, it is necessary to reform all levels of education and educational policy. Improve the education system with the best practices applied in the rest of the world. Create an education system that rewards critical thinking rather than repeating facts. The adoption of advanced and modern learning methods enables the progress of the economy, science, culture, and general well-being of the entire society. Developing the key competencies of pupils and students is crucial for the success of the country, by creating quality programs for internships and practice we are creating future professionals, workers, and craftsmen who will continue to build Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, adapting the curriculum for the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the key ideas in achieving our goals for a better BiH, however, we think that the focus should not be only on internships and internships, but on the use of educational institutions for the development of civic, European, global values, as well as awareness of the importance and respect for one’s own culture and history. Modernization and standardization are key concepts in the fight against the negative trends affecting Bosnia and Herzegovina. We must not forget that the quality of education determines the quality of life of future generations.

European environmental protection policies

We advocate for developing and improving environmental policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina that will be in accordance with the provisions of the EU Directives on environmental protection and sustainable development goals defined by the UN, also known as “global goals”. We believe that it is of great importance to emphasize the importance of systematic action on the issue of strengthening legislation and the application of positive EU experiences, considering that sustainable development is at the very center of the policies of the European Union and its member states, and the accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union is a comprehensive priority for BiH.
